Miro Korsic

Born in Slovenia, Miro Korsic started life with the tragic loss of his parents at a very early age. After living with his uncle for a short period, Miro was sent to an orphanage where he stayed until he started at a high school for the arts. He developed a sense for drawing at a very early age and found it a source of comfort as he grew older. Studying art under professor Zoran Didek, Miro attended the Faculty of Pedagogy in Ljubljana.

Working in mixed media, Miro uses powerful images in vibrant colours. You are immediately drawn into his paintings and once there, find symbols both evocative and thoughtful. The written words often found on the canvas complete the painting, giving a poignancy and understanding to the viewer.

His paintings can be found in private and corporate collections in Italy, Sweden, Poland, United Kingdom, Slovenia, France, Canada and the U.S.
